I combined two of the Calendar Girl's challenges to create this layout of a Christmas that could have been a disaster had it not been for a great friend. For Linda's BOS challenge I lifted the fun layout that I have on page two that was made by Amy Coffee. For the circles challenge that Wanda posted, I used punched circles from three different punches and scraps of cardstock. Actually everything with the exception of the full pieces of cardstock for the base is made of scraps from my stash. I have hidden journaling behind my DS's photo, which is elevated with pop dots, that explains what happened. In 1985 all Jeremy wanted Santa to bring him was a Hot Wheel City. I put it on layaway really early to make sure he got his gift. What I didn't know was that K-Mart pulled everything left on their layaway shelves the week before Christmas and put it back for sale inside the store. They didn't call me and I only had a few dollars left to pay on it. They gave me my money back and a “you should have checked back sooner half baked apology” after I went totally ballistic in the store on Christmas Eve when I went to pick it up. I was crying hysterically when I called a friend that happened to manage a Wal-Mart in another town. He didn't have one on his shelf but he called around until he could find one. Jeremy didn't know just how close he came to being disappointed by Santa that year!
