I challenged myself to use the Jenni Bowlin Red and Black collection that came in a kit. What was hard was that this was one of those kits that really disappointed me. I literally unpacked it and set it aside, really feeling like I was going to just kiss the money goodbye. So I forced myself to just do it. I wanted to make a frame out of The Shirt off my Back paper, but I also wanted to use the clocks on the other side, so I actually cut out the center of the paper and adhered the Red Cross Stoves paper to it. I included a photo of the back of the layout so that it would make sense. Anyway, I started this layout, and once more I had no idea what I was going to do for the page. I was inspired by Jill Sprott's fantastic layout here [jbsmercantile.com]. I love how she used the clocks to surround her elements. I used Crate Paper On Trend Craze; Jenni Bowlin labels, Red Cross Stoves, and The Shirt Off My Back;Pebbles ABC Stickers and Adhesive labels; and Martha Stewart Crafts High Gloss Multi Surface paint in Beetle Black. And LOTS of dimensional adhesive. The Journaling reads: I don't have a crippling fear of heights, but you won't find me climbing trees to see further. I'm one of those “sounds good until I'm at the top and realize I've got to get down people.” This photo is a stretch for me. You see, I'm standing on a glass walkway 2,000 feet above the bottom of the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. As the guide stated it, 12 seconds. Yes, 12 seconds! I'm quite proud of myself!
