a LO about my MomText reads:Who is this woman?…who raised 3 children often living on a farm out in the country? … whose door was always open to friends and family who needed a meal or a place to stay and who didn't know how to cook for less than 10?…who never learned to drive but wasn't afraid to walk long distances to pay her bills in person?…who can stretch a dollar further than anyone I've ever met? She is known to find money on the street all the time and can use a coupon in a way that stores have been known to pay her to buy their products.…who was always resourceful, who plans for the slim times? She raised her own food, canning and freezing for the off season.…who loved to sew and can whip up an outfit in a couple of hours with just an idea and no pattern?…who used her talents to supplement income when needed? She took in sewing, anything from simple repairs, doing hems to elaborate wedding ensembles. She even made projects to sell to neighbors and friends to make extra money during the holidays. She can remodel an outfit to fit in a mere minutes.…who loves to treasure hunt in thrift stores and has the eye of a seasoned veteran in finding the deals.…who has seen her share of hard times, disappointments, tradegy and loss yet faces each day with a smile?…who at 80 years old still is doing all her own yardwork?…who is loved by everyone?…who has a penchant for bingo and penny slots?…who values family above everything else?Who is this woman?She is my friend, my confident, my support and my role model.She is the grandmother of my children.
