I just LOVE it when my girls walk like this. I caught them one day while we were going for a walk. It reminded me of this conversation I had with my oldest DD.The MOD paper did not scan real well and the blue shows up much better IRL. sorry!<BR><BR><b>Journaling:</b> <br>I love our conversations as I tuck you in at night. I cherish that quiet time as you unwind and we can talk about anything that is on your mind. Last week you said something that really stuck with me. I hadn’t realized you felt this way because you never complain about helping Lauren. But you brought it up that night.<br>Katie: Mommy, being a big sister is hard.<br>Me: Why do you think it is hard?<br>Katie: Lauren gets more attention than I do.<br>Me: Why do you say that, Honey?<br>Katie: You rock her to sleep.<br>Me: Is that the only reason?<br>Katie: No, I have to tie her shoes. <br>Me: I know sometimes it is hard being older, but you get to do a lot of stuff Lauren doesn’t.<br>Katie: I know. I get to go to school.<br>Me: That’s right. Do you like being her big sister?<br>Katie: Mmhmm.<br>Me: I am glad because you are REALLY good at it.<br>Katie: I love Lauren a lot.<br>Me: I know you do, Sweetie. Goodnight.<br>Katie: Goodnight. <br>Although sometimes it is hard to be a big sister you are so good at it. I am constantly in awe at how you take care of Lauren and watch overher.
