For this week's Glitter Girl Journalling challenge.I've been enjoying going back to some of my older photos and filling in the gaps in our story. I've put these photos off forever because I was less than impressed with them, but as I was looking through photos my husband commented on them and I made and off-handed remark that became my journalling. The journalling reads: Cat and I couldn't resist going up the Minster's tower, and even on such a misty grey afternoon, the views were well worth the climb. We just didn't take into account how we'd get back down. Neither of us like stairs, but we had to do it… one step at a time down the uneven spiral staircase. One slow step at a time.In the journalling, I do mention who, where and why we went as preliminary to the story, however the real story was the fact that we were uneasy about stairs. In the journalling I also mention why we are so uneasy about it – the uneven spiral staircase. I also repeated the ‘one (slow) step at a time)’ because that is how we managed. Literally, one step at a time. Stating it a second time is repetitive, kinda like going down stairs. And it is a part of the story that isn't shown in the photos. The process: I wrote out my journalling first, then cut everything else to fit. I knew I didn't need a lot of space for this story, but it meant I got the journalling space at just the right size.
