For CHA challenge #4 – to use a four word title. I wanted to keep this kinda simple since I was using quite a few photos in a small space. I used some plain white cardstock, my hexagon background stamp and some Old Paper Distress Ink to add interest to the background.Journalling reads: This is an activity we come by honestly. As a child, I remember picking raspberries and fiddleheads in the woods, and harvesting puffball mushrooms in the fields near the house. At the cottage we'd often pick blueberries, strawberries and blackberries. Most of this was for convenient snacking. When we lived in England, we'd frequently pick the elderberries and blackberries in the hedgerows along the bridlepath for jam making. There were so many available for the picking. After moving, we discovered the abundance of fruit trees along the cycle paths. Elderflowers for cordial, black and red currants for compot, and Mirabellas (Cherry Plums) for jam. Such delicious jam! We really enjoy the process of collecting and preserving and have our eyes on the apple, pear, and cherry trees for next year.
