Done in response to Wilna's ‘In the Mood’ challenge. I took visual inspiration from her mood board in the following ways: 1. Chalkboard – I used my black Distress Ink and blending tool over White Bazzill cardstock. I then framed it with a black mat. I used this as the foundation of my photos (kinda like a pinboard, actually).2. Line of photos – One of her pins showed a long vertical gallery of frames, so I used this as a starting point for my photo placement.3. Tone on tone – A lot of the pins featured white on white imagery, so I used lots of similar tones on the non-photo side of the page.4. Confetti – One of the pins featured confetti, so I ‘sprinkled’ my small embellishments around the page.Part two of the challenge was to use a word to document something about yourself. My word is story. I journalled about what it means to me. In fact, this is the first time I've actually done a ‘why I scrapbook’ page. Guess it was about time to tell that story. :)Journalling reads: It is about the big moments and the little moments that will change our lives. The once in a lifetime stories. The everyday moments. The connections that bring people together and that make up a family. It's about discovering the stories of the past, recording the family stories told again and again, and documenting the now, as it happens. it is about friends and family and all the people that affect our lives. It's about the things we do, the stuff we love, and the places that change us. It is the fabric of our lives in photos and words. It is why I scrapbook. It is all about the story.
