Made in response to this weeks Memory Keeping Monday. I chose to use the prompt of scrapping about a Christmas tradition and include a bit of office/book theme (I used a paperclip and tab for this bit of the challenge).I wanted to do a layout of my grandparents' tradition of holding Christmas party. I don't actually know when this photo was taken. I'd surmise that it was the late 70s or early 80s, but since their house NEVER changed it is hard to guess. However, the date isn't really important in this instance since it was an annual event! And it was always the same every year. :)Used a bunch of papers from the ‘For the Record 2’ Collection, as well as a few scraps from my scrap bin. The star paperclip has been floating around my stash forever, so I have no idea where it came from. I used a black paint pen to colour over some old letter stickers that were an ugly colour. Love the result. Added a old SEI tab (from their Granny's Kitchen collection) and stamped the street name of where they lived. Since a fair bit of the interior is visible in the photograph, I thought this was a nice bit of info to add.Journalling reads: For years, Nan and pop hosted a Christmas party on the second Saturday of December. The house would be filled with dozens of people, both friends and family. The tables were filled with enough food to feed a couple of armies, and the wine and liquor flowed freely. Towards the end of the evening, everyone would gather in the lounge. With carols from the local newspaper in hand, my grandfather on his violin, and a friend at the piano, everyone would sing through their favourite Christmas carols. Everyone had a great time, including their dog Dupey who carried her bowl around begging for drinks. At the end of the night she fell over drunk. Nan said she was exhausted from entertaining.
