Made in response to this week's Memory Keeping Monday. Nancy challenged us to make an ‘in-review’ page using symbols and I decided to use a hash symbol. A fringe benefit was that I got to use a few of the older embellishments in my stash. Once I established the title, the idea of making the definitions look like hashtags quickly sprung up. These were my daughter's way of classifying the Duplo buildings that we built. I used a variety of photos of her playing with Duplo over an approximate 2 year time frame, and pulled my journalling from various bits of quotes I stuffed in my box of stories. I tried make each definition capture a little bit of personality. The hashtags read:#FancyHouse - A large house made of Duplo. Often has multiple stories with stairs, bridges, and room for an indoor playground.#Barn - A house big enough to run a tractor through. Often populated by animals with their own beds and bathrooms. Kitchens optional.#Hotel - Like a fancy house, but more open concept. Often with a large garden and social space. The ultimate in indoor/outdoor living complete with outdoor kitchen.#Cottage - A small house, often with only one or two levels. Often built when mummy or daddy were short on time, like right before making dinner.
