You saw an ad in one of your teen magazines for what you thought was just a reader's model application. So you sent in your photo. A few weeks later we got back a big package of papers and pamphlets from a talent school congratulating you on passing the application process. You were officially invited to an audition for the school. You would be asked to dance, sing and deliver a few memorized lines - all in front of a professional director and production crew, while being filmed. There were many, many other applicants as well and it ended up being a long day. Parents had to wait in the waiting room while the “kids” went into the auditorium, but we were able to watch you on a live TV screen. Sadly, there wasn't any sound from the tv, but at least we could see you! You could have smiled a bit more, and I'm sure your voice was a bit on the quiet side.What guts it took to get up in front of a room full of strangers and do all those things! You were so brave and all I could do was sit there with tears in my eyes, cheering you on as I watched.
