This is for Iring's challenge - to use mortise and regular masking, stamping and stenciling.I started by stamping a solid cat image (Grant Archival) on CS and fussy cutting it out. Then I placed a large circle stencil on my page, placed the cat down (I held it in place with my finger) and inked the circle with ‘Tattered Rose’ Distress Ink. I roughly stamped over that with Colorbox ‘Dark Peony’ on a script stamp (without mounting it onto acrylic, so it was very random). I used a homemade flower stencil (made from a punch) to randomly ink flowers, keeping the cat mask in place. Finally, I stamped a SU bird stamp. This was a GREAT technique! It took me quite a few tries to get something I was happy with. With my first attempts, the cat mask was paper, and the ink bled through. My stencil also got soggy a few times so that the flower image seeped.I'm happy with the final result, though!
