This was an experiment with crayon coloring for Daniel's challenge. I was going for a batik look on the tulips. I stamped the tulip with Versafine onyx black on watercolor paper. I colored the tulips with red, dandelion, yellow green, green and black crayons, going over the outline with the black. I then scraped lines in to the tulips and washed over them with black watercolor crayon. I actually can't remember if I colored the background first, then stamped or vice versa??? Kind of looks to me like I did the background first. It was done by coloring black with black watercolor crayon directly on the paper, then blending with a wet brush. I'm not totally happy with the blend, but then again not such a bad thing to see the texture. Matted on a glossy green Mrs. Grossman's card. The green/black combo reminded me of school and blackboards.TFL!Stamp : Alias Smith & Rowe lg tulip trioRub on sentiment : Deja ViewSticker : grad cap, Frances Meyer
