made these cards with pieces I made while making backgrounds for Jan's Backgrounds with WOW Challenge.

You can see Jan's tutorial and sample cards here:

These two turned out to be the main image so they don't fit the background challenge, but I made them because of that challenge. I had a hard time inking up the raised image since there was so much blank space in the design so I used a letterpress technique instead.

Cindi, thank you for the Christmas All Year! Challenge:

CARDS:
4 1/2“ x 6 1/4”
Carnival 80-lb. Vellum, New Forest Green
Neenah Classic Crest, Solar White
Carnival 80-bl. Vellum, Red
Cuttlebug Holly Embossing Folder
Versamark Dazzle Ink, Frost (1st card)
Brilliance Ink, Moonlight White (2nd card)
Swarovski Flatback Rhinestones, Siam, SS12 & SS16
Sakura Quickie Glue Pen
Red Suede Cording

I used a letterpress technique on these two pieces. I inked the raised design on the inside of the embossing folder. I wiped away any ink that landed off the design. Then I ran it through the Cuttlebug and back again, slowly so that the ink would have time to transfer to the recessed design in the cardstock.

Before attaching the gems, I pressed the raised design flat.

TFL.
