Sarah mentioned on her blog that the second stencil would fill in the empty spaces left after applying the first layer of paste.
For my sample cards I began with the large Chintz stencil. It covered a large sheet of watercolor paper.
When it dried, I used the Bamboo stencil twice to cover the area.
Today, I made a new sheet, and this time I cut the sheet into four pieces after the first layer of paste had dried. That way I was able to position the second stencil so that the design would be vertical. I stenciled each of the four pieces, one after the other, without having to clean up in between them. It went very fast.
