Cindi, thank you for the terrific challenge. This is my second attempt. The first attempt is being reduced to a 3“ x 3” card for one of the challenges to use our scraps. LOL. (Using Distress Stains through a stencil takes a bit of practice.)

CARD:
4 1/4“ x 5 1/2”
Bazzill Cardstock – card base
140-lb. hot press water color paper – focal image

Mortise Mask – Spellbinders Nestabilities, Labels 8
Stamped Cat – This is one of two stamps I bought for a fundraiser; I can't remember who designed it. Anyone know?
Stamp Zia Color Wash Jewels, Blue Topaz
Dylusions Stencil, Luscious Leaves
Distress Stain, Peeled Paint
Tombow Marker, #452

PROCEDURE:
Placed the mortise mask on the paper
Stamped the cat
Masked the cat
Sprayed with Stamp Zia Spray
Dried with heat gun
Used Distress Stain through the leaf stencil
Removed the mortise mask and the cat mask
Trimmed and mounted focal image

When I scanned the card, I noticed that I had not cut out the area above the cat's tail in the mask so it was still white. I found a Tombow Marker that matched the paint and used it to fill in the area.

TFL.
