This was my first attempt at a hinged page. Come to think of it, it was also my first pocket page. I started by drawing up the front cover, piecing together the table and silhouette people. I got the idea from the front cover of the brochure I included inside. I cut out 3 pieces of paper and placed them into the “hand” and then used sticker lettering, chalks and water color pencils for detail. I mounted this onto the green cardstock and created the hinged flap. The layout is continued inside the front cover. The pocket was created to hold the brochure promoting the event. I dry embossed the heart shape on it, attached the ribbon, and glued on heart punches. The journaling was printed onto vellum, backed with cardstock, and attached using more ribbon. It was a fun layout to do . . . . but not as much fun as the event itself!!
