The story behind this project:In 2010, I had the opportunity to go on a month-long trip to Europe. My boyfriend was excited for me, but really sad that I would be away that long. I decided to do something special for him to make it a little easier to be apart. I used my scraps and stamps to make a box of cards, one for each day I would be gone. On one side was the date and a fun thing to do. I had hidden little gift cards and candy and things around my house, his house, in our cars, behind the counter at his favorite local restaurant (we know the owner, who was only too glad to help). The ‘fun thing to do’ side had clues or directions to find the gift card or other object. The other side had a picture(s) of us and one of the many reasons I love him. He loved it, but found it hard not to look at all the cards at once! The cards were in order by day, and I'd solicited a promise from him that he would only look at the card for the day on the actual day. I thought I'd share this project because you could make it into a great Valentine's Day gift. The pre-planning and buying the gift cards was the most time-consuming; putting it together didn't take very long.
