This is LO 7 of 10 that I am doing of the Miley Cyrus concert in Milwaukee in October 2009. I got a lot of good photos at this concert, and my dd and I want them all scrapped. She suggested a LO per song, but we compromised. I respectfully request that there be no Miley bashing here.
This LO covers the entire next segment of the show. I did the photos for each of the five songs in its own section of the LO. The title is a line from G.N.O. (Girls' Night Out). All of the photos are mine EXCEPT for: the 2x3 photo in the Spotlight section, the 4x6 of Miley overhead on the Harley in the I Love Rock 'n' Roll (Arrows cover) section, and the only photo in the Party in the USA section. I got those 3 photos from Wikipedia to supplement the ones I took. The journaling in the Hovering section says: with Miley's brother Trace Cyrus of Metro Station.
All the photos are outlined with black Sharpie to give them a crisp edge without matting. I cut the song titles and LO title with the Hannah Montana cart. I cut the phones and highway sign with the Going Places cart.
This is my example for my July Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Red and Gray. Players had the option of using red and gray or pink and gray for their LO this month. For the twist of fibers, I wrapped some fuzzy red fibers around the pp strip behind the title.
Also for a VLB challenge: fireworks explosion. I have red mist on my gray bg cs - it is especially explosion-y behind the title. Also, there is smoke and such in the photos from the show pyrotechnics.
An additional comment - I've had a lot of questions and comments about how I could possibly remember this show in such detail. I don't usually make such a meticulous matching up of photos I take at a concert to the set list, but this show was a special case. At any rate, it doesn't have to come straight from your memory. Your local media will have done reviews of the concerts in your area that can be found on the internet and that give the specifics of your particular show. Also, a tour of any significance probably has its own Wikipedia page that gives the dates, locations, set lists, details of the costumes and sets, opening acts, etc. It's not that hard - Google the artist, date, location of your show, and all the info will be there as well as high quality photos - if not from your show, from the tour. It's also great for shows where your seats are too far to get good shots, or where cameras are not allowed, or if you just don't want to be distracted by a camera while you're in the experience.
