Journaling: We pretty much ate our way through Holmes and Wayne Counties. First was breakfast (not pictured) where they served up homemade cinnamon rolls along with the traditional hotel breakfast fare. Then we took a trip to Lehman’s where we stocked up on candy, fudge, soda and other items. Next, was Hartzler’s dairy for lunch, ice cream and chocolate milk. Later, we stopped at Heini’s Cheese Chalet in Berlin. We sampled cheese and bought yogurt cheese and cheddar jalepeno. We ate dinner at Boyd & Wurthmann’s. Sadly, none of us felt like dessert by this point. (Their apple dumplings are amazing.) Lehman's had a fudge special (buy 4 pieces get 2 free). Since there were six of us, I figured it was meant to be. The soda doesn’t all fit into the “tasty treats” category. The bacon soda was revolting. Also, I should mention that although we purchased everything in one day, much of it was consumed later in the trip.
