This is amazing! Your mom and aunt are beautiful. What a wonderful history, working with the true glamour gals of Hollywood :) Perfect layout, stunning, post it on G45's facebook page!
This is such a lovely LO. I love that you know all about the boarding house and your mom working with the stars. I love the punching and the tags. I especially like the punched corners of the mats.
another wonderful page..I love the punchwork & papers & flowers, keys, bottle. I loved the story you told. how wonderful your mom did hair for the stars..It is sad about the grandparents who died young but it shows you what kind of people they were to figure out a way t o take care of themselves. I can see the love you put into it
What a treasure you have here and you have done a beautiful job putting it into a scrapped page. What interesting women they must have been. They were somewhat ahead of their time that's for sure. Beautiful page.
This is my mother (left) and aunt Janice when they were 18 or 19 (1936). My mother made many of her own clothes. She is wearing one of her creations. I love how adorable my aunt looks in her hat. There are hat pins on the layout. The keys represent the boarding house they ran after their parents both died very young. My mother would soon go to beauty school in Beloit and then later work in Hollywood on many stars including Hedi Lamar and Lauren Bacall. They were identical twins, but could not have been more different. The little bottle has music paper in it to represent the years "the twins" sang together at church and local picnics. I miss them so much. Thanks for looking.
