Thought I would share a card I made for a nephew who recently opened his own semi-truck/automotive repair shop. The steampunk paper is from Hot Off The Press paper pack. I painted the largest chipboard gear first and then used Stampendous Frantage Embossing Powder in Aged Gold, then sprinkled Stampendous Frantage Mica fragments on it. Also used the embossing powder on the little metal gears and the skinny ring. The washers I just applied some Ranger Patina in Victorian Gold. For the other rings on the background paper I used both ends of a little medicine cup dabbed in some Folk Art Royal Gold acrylic paint and then used a toothpick to pull out the points to look similar to gears. I made the eggshell mosaic banner from a Gabrielle Pollacco tutorial (thank you Gabi!). The little springs I also just dipped in the paint. One is from a clothespin that broke. Can't remember where I got the other one!
The 3 little metal gears that I embossed are from my friend Brandy Lynn (Jellybean) and the skinny ring is from Melissa (Scraphouse). Thank you ladies! :-)
Thank you for stopping by my gallery!
