Beautiful photo and page! I'm loving the colors on this and, once again, your bg is incredible. I always love how you mix different techniques! I agree, your butterfly is beautiful. Congrats on being a guest designer!

Absolutely beautiful Melissa! I love how you use so many different techniques to create this wonderful lo. Gorgeous photo & congrats to guest design for Renea, well deserved!:)
wow!!! so many awesome techniques creating this GORGEOUS lo. I love the colors and all the sparkles and glitter - very eye catching. (congrats on the guest designer spot too - it is so well deserved.)
This is truly beautiful, Melissa. I love the artistic way you created the heart, the little stones/beads, gold texture, the glitter, and, of course, the butterfly. Even the photo your mother-in-law took is great.
Renea asked me to guest design for her for the month of September.
I think the butterfly looks beautiful. With it's pretty, delicate coloring, and sparkly glitter, it looks all dressed up for a wintry day.
This is a photo of Northport Harbor. My husband grew up in the town. People come from all over to visit Main Street here, to sightsee, shop, and visit one of the great restaurants. It's unusual to see ice here.
I have other photos of the area in my gallery.
My Mom-in-law took this photo.
I used texture paste over some gesso. I used a piece of chipboard from Gina's Designs as a stencil for the steampunk heart on the right. I painted the raised areas with silver ink. On the left side of the page I painted the recessed parts with pewter lumiere acrylic paint. The other chipboard is also from the same source.
All the purple blue is a mix of blue watercolor, and purple twinkling H20s.
There's a small piece of tresors lace at the upper right.
I used things Ive gotten from my scrappy friends here at Scrapbook.com.
Abbygirl- the glittery blue flowers at the right and left of the photo Cindy JK- the little mirror at the bottom left of the photo Lynne J - the small silver flourish by the mirror Eapipkin- the piece of lace at the left of the photo 48SixTime- the piece of silver beads on wire, to the left of the photo. Thank you so much ladies!
