Fun at the Zoo

In May we decided to go to the Brevard Zoo. Its not a bad zoo, but to be honest after you see the Jacksonville zoo most other zoo's pale in comparison. We had a pretty good time. DD loved feeding the giraffes. She called the rhinos cows which was super cute, and she squeeked with delight at the sight of the meercats. We got there when it first opened at 8:30 am and by 11am we we soaked through our clothes with sweat. Luckily there is an amazing splash park/water play zone in the zoo. DD played (and cooled down) in it for about an hour! Honestly that was equally as enjoyable as the rest of the whole zoo. After that I put her in some dry clothes, she ate a pb&j sandwhich on the way back to the car, and was passed out asleep by the time we left the parkling lot. Really it was a prefect morning with very few hiccups (I can't say NO hiccups, bcause I did forget to bring diapers, but in my defense I realized the mistake before we got to the zoo, so we were able to pull into a Walgreeens before we got there.)

We utilized her nap and our location to stop at our favorite hamburger place- Bianco's Big League Eatery. I waited in the car while he ordered and picked up or to-go food. We didn't get to eat it until we got home, but OMG I am am drooling right now thinking about it! Yum! The rest of the day was split between relaxing and doing home chores. I always feel that a combination of the two is important, because I hve to feel like I accomplished something, but I have to make an effort to relax and not let the weekend go by too fast. This really was a great day.
