The Fairy Flag at Dunvegan Castle - the most treasured possession of the Clan Macleod. It is silk dated from the 4th to 7th century from the middle east. There are many legends associated with the flag, from a war banner, a crusade relic (although the date precedes the crusades by 400 years) and a gift from a Fairy Lover to her Cheiftain. I used Legends of Scotland digital kit for this page.
