I started with strips of patterned paper, then I pained a coat of gesso over the paper. When that was dry I used an Ivy and Berry stencil by Tim Holtz and used Ranger embossing paste over the stencil. On a side note...I LOVE this paste!! It goes on super smooth and absorbs color! So, after the paste was dry I used some distressed ink to color in the leaves. For the ornament I used two colors of ink and blended. The Santa is colored with distressed ink and I used "A Wink of Stella" over the suit for shimmer
