Tammy you said it so well. If we all took more time to understand each other what a better world his would be! Henri, this is yet another neat experience you had I am so jealous of!
I look every day to see what your next travel layout you have put on here. You have had some amazing experiences and thank you for sharing them with us.
Mosques are always such beautiful buildings as our many of our cathedrals. Sharing our faith and understanding each other is the key to peace not what is happening in the world today.
Our first stop of the day was a huge mosque and citadel. It was fascinating! Our Memmo, our tour guide took us inside and asked us sit in a circle on the floor. He told us that he was a Muslim and explained about the Muslim faith and answered questions that we had. They are called to prayer 5 times a day. Then he demonstrated how they pray, bowing on his knees and touching his forehead to the floor. He said they start the prayer by telling God he is great 3 times. They then bow as they thank God for their mother and their father and family members. (If I have any facts misconstrued here I am sorry – this is written from memory from what we were told this morning.)
