Another recipe and everything is from my stash. I not only had this Lemonade die cut - I have another one just like it, guess I purchased two at one time. Also had the lemon patterned paper and the lemon overlay with the lemons at the bottom.

Starting with this recipe I started putting my food on the back patio with one of the lemon trees in the background because I get the best photos outside. However, I have several more to post and the same lemon tree is in the background of all of them!

Here's the recipe:

Sweet Southern Lemonade
I always double this to make a gallon pitcher

(Recipe came from Southern Living Magazine at
least 20 years ago)

SIMPLE SYRUP (Makes 2 cups)
1 cup water
2 cups sugar

LEMONADE
2 cups simple syrup - (recipe above)
1 3/4 – 2 cups fresh lemon juice (we like it better with 1 ¾ cups)
3 cups cold water

Combine water and sugar for simple syrup in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

Remove from heat; cool. If you are not making lemonade right away then add ¼ tsp bottled lemon juice and store in the refrigerator.

To make a pitcher: Combine the sugar syrup (simple syrup recipe makes exactly 2 cups), fresh lemon juice and cold water. I actually put ice in a large measuring cup and fill with water to 3 cups so the lemonade will cool fast!) Stir well – serve over ice.

To Make 1 Glass: Mix 3 Tablespoons sugar syrup, ¼ cup fresh lemon juice, and ¾ cups cold water; stir well – serve over ice.

When I want to get fancy I put some of the lemonade in plastic ice cube trays and drop a maraschino cherry in some of them. Then instead of using ice cubes of water which melt and dilute the lemonade, the lemonade cubes keep the lemonade taste from getting weak. For people who like lemon in their tea, the lemonade cubes are great for that too.

I also slice an extra lemon for garnish.
