These are all so pretty!!! Why is it such a challenge for us to keep a card flat? I think it cost me 20 bucks to mail my cards this year. Oh well, if I can't afford it - I'll do better getting them flat! And don't you just love the images you can get on the computer? My fav software is Snag It - so easy to getr and size them.
Hi everyone! This year I decided to make my cards as simple (and flat) as possible, although I didn't quite accomplish the latter on some of them! All of the images used on the cards, with the exception of the pretty pink ornament, I got online by Googling "vintage Christmas images". The pink ornament I got from Pinterest. I just love old-fashioned Christmas images! Anyway, all of the background papers are mostly scraps I've had for awhile. The only papers I bought for my cards this year was the actual cardstock for the body. Other elements used were in my stash. The snowflakes I used are from Unique Laser Designs, a company that I've been Guest Designer for since October. The top one I painted with Gesso and used Stampendous Frantage embossing powder in Shabby Blue. The bottom one I just dabbed my Pearl dabber and then let it dry. I then applied Glossy Accents to the center and outer edges and sprinkled on Diamond Chunky Glitter Glass from Reneabouquets.com. I have to say I recently purchased Tim Holtz's Black Soot distress ink pad and inked around the edges of some of my cards, including the one on the lower right. I love how it turned out. I've always just stuck with the Vintage Photo, or other standard colors to match but I tried something different this time! You will see more of those in my other postings. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my simple cards!
