Wednesday – May 15th – Peaceful day at sea – we put our pictures on a thumb (flash) drive and traded pictures with new cruise friends and played trivia twice. One of the questions was, “Who was Loretta Lynn's singing sister?” and I got the point for our team when I wrote, “Crystal Gayle” (She sang, “Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue.)

The trick question was, “How do you say good-bye in Orkan?” Most of the people were thinking of real languages and where that would come from. For some reason I got “Star Trek” on my mind but that was Vulcan (Live Long and Prosper) then I thought “Orkan? Must come from Ork… Of course – Mork from Ork” (Mork & Mindy) and the obvious answer was “Nanoo Nanoo” – easy once I broke it down. I'm not sure if anyone else got it or not on any of the other teams but I don't think any other teams got that point.

Best of all today – it was lobster night! Surf and turf was on the menu but Bill and I told our server to hold the turf on both of ours and double the surf so we got two lobster tails each with a baked potato! Excellent!

Thursday – May 16th – Bill's morning started interesting. We went to the Lido buffet for breakfast and Bill made a stop in the bathroom before we went through the line for our food. He was washing his hands when a woman came out of one of the stalls. He told her, “Excuse me, but you are in the Men's Room.” She said, “No sir, you are in the ladies' room.” Yep – Bill was in the ladies room.

Istanbul today – the last port of our cruise. The end of the line.

We started with one of the hop-on hop-off buses and knew within 15 minutes that this was not going to be one of our favorite ports. It had tons of mosques but other than that, just a huge city with lots of traffic. Nothing made us go WOW. In fact within no time at all we were both asleep on the hop-on hop-off bus. Istanbul was that riveting to us.
