Love the collage! terrific page to include so many photos and views of the beach. And you are right, there is something special about winter beaches up north))
Oh my gosh Lisa, your LO is outstanding. I love the collage of multiple photos. The tile going across the page is really great. This is going in my favs!
Fantastic. love teh left side - I know how much work it is to make a collage like that work. The right side is fab too - love the close up of the fruit.
These are the last of my photos from a day trip to Black River Harbor on Lake Superior in the Michigan UP in November 2009. There are four other LO's in my gallery with pics of the river and various waterfalls as it makes its way down to the lake. These shots are of the harbor itself and Lake Superior. The top left square photo shows a glimpse of the lake through the trees on the road down along the river. The horizontal photo on the left above the boat photo is a little hard to see in this LO pic, but it shows the span of the foot bridge over the river that I featured in the larger pic on the right. The top photo in the middle column on the left shows the harbor in the mouth of the river with a glimpse of Superior past the breakwall in the distance. I should have included an aerial shot of the harbor off the internet, but I didn't think of it until it was too late to change my design to add it in. In the top right of the top right photo, you can see part of the Porcupine Mountains. There is no journaling because there is journaling on the first LO of the series from this day. I could walk the shore of Superior forever. It is so beautiful. This was a great day - we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves, and we stayed until almost dark.
This is my example for my January Four Categories Challenge - Category Three ~ Technique: Banner. Players are to create some type of banner on a page, and the twist is to use more than one shape flag in the banner. I have two shapes, plus a metal loop, in mine.
This is also for one of our VLB challenges - Beach.
I started with a January 2010 PageMap for this, but I altered it quite a bit. All the photos are outlined with a black Sharpie. I stamped the date on the oval tag on the left page. I machine stitched the border with a few random spots of zigzag stitch mixed in with the straight stitching.
Other Products: Alphas: Recollections Pen: Sharpie Date stamp: Leisure Arts thread; circle punch
