For a mini challenge in POD back in January 2010, we had to interpret 'Favorite Sound' so I took photos of my cello.

This is my example for my January Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Music. The twist is to include a quote or lyrics on the page. I have 10 different music and cello related quotes.

This is for the January Music Challenge - Title. Cello Song is the title of a song by Nick Drake. I did the twist to use a black bg.

I used the title and quotes to create a sort of ode to the cello. I used an October 2011 PageMap. I was going for simple and elegant, but possibly came out too boring. I can't decide. I have been in an anti-embellishment phase lately. Anyway, the pp for the circle is flocked, and I did a black on black die cut of a music staff on the bottom of the LO so there is quite a bit of texture that shows up better IRL. I doodled a simple line border with a clear Stardust pen. I created the journaling box in Word and printed it on vellum.
