I do like the torn layers and how they form a pocket for your memorabilia - certainly a great way of doing it! you have so many interesting photos of concerts and such - what a great memory to scrap!
This is so totally cool! Of course the topic is awesome but the fact that you included all of the memorabilia on it puts it way over the top!!! I also enjoyed reading your journaling.
This was supposed to be a quick page for memorabilia, but I ended up struggling with it, and it didn't come out the way I'd envisioned. However, it is a check mark off my list, and I like 'done' almost as much as 'done well.' LOL
The bottom right photo was my Photo of the Day for November 2, 2009 - it's a selfie of my torso to show my "This Is It" lanyard. The bottom left is the actual piece with the back face up. I used the strap as a border up the side. Our ticket stubs are tucked in between the torn layers on the right. The top photo is a still from the movie I screen captured from the dvd and printed as a 4x7 photo. The stars came in a package from Swarovski a long time ago. I doodled on either side of the title. I fussy cut the top border out of another pp in this line.
Journaling says: Cassie & I went to see This Is It today after her parent/teacher conferences. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the movie, just as there was about Michael for much of his life, but I thought it was tastefully and touchingly done. While Michael probably wouldn't have wanted this footage made public if he had lived because the performances aren't full out, I think people understand the nature of rehearsals, and I think the glimpses we see of his passion and creativity are a fitting tribute to his genius and artistry.
This is a lift of Eileen's (ncyankee) LO 'Oh Christmas Tree' found here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/330315/view/5253039/-1/18/0.html I used her torn layers, side border, doodling, and tag and title placement, but I gummed up the rest of it with too much stuff.
This is my example for my January Four Categories Challenge - Category One ~ Product: Memorabila. I did the journaling twist.
This is for the January Music Challege - Artist with the twine twist.
