Finally getting around to uploading a page made for Scrap Around the World November challenge. Between the holidays, surgery, and a cold, I am playing major catch up! But, better late than never, I suppose.
The photo is of my Mom, at the piano studio in 1946. It is such a classic photo, it almost looks like it could be taken today.
Inspiration for the layout was drawn from the beautiful vintage feel of the November moodboard, which featured sheet music, old lace doilies, flowers, etc. I did some molding paste stenciling, and also soft gel stenciling, which is hard to see in the photograph. Used pieces of old doilies, thread in various colors, paint and mists, and twine. Also 2 tiny cardinal feathers that I found in my garden this past summer, and some pods from my garden.
