I like your views on feeding children! I tried to minimize junk food when mine were little (they had no idea what McDonald's was until they were in school!) but still, I did give them some things as we didn't know as much as is known now about nutrition. Those lifelong habits are set early! This layout is stunning. I like it a lot! I think you did a great job on it!
Totally love this LO! The chevron cuts on the scallop pp...totally going to have to steal someday! And, as a note, I LOVE spaghetti squash, and make myself spaghetti squash spaghetti quite often!
Lots of great inclusions on this LO. I like the vellum usage especially... the award ribbon piece and the vellum confetti strip are wonderful. Like too the chevrons along the side. And I really like the straight forward note about not giving the baby the bath before spaghetti!
Wonderful layout! I've battled with lack of insipiration from those lower quality photos, also. I just keep reminding myself, "It's about the memories, not the quality of the photos!"
Oh yes...just a 6 stips for a whole cabbage. It ends up being like a spinkling of bacon bits in a giant bowl of cabbage. Besides, as hard as I try to limit her meat intake...she is a carnivore! I think she would eat meat all day long for every meal if I let her. And she is addicted to hard boiled eggs...What a little weirdo.
Don't give the baby a bath before spaghetti [squash]!
Or any meal for that matter. Since we didn't give DD any carbs before she was two every meal was messy. It wasn't a carb/ weight issue. I just didn't want her to eat crackers, goldfish, cookies, and bread all the time. Those are such easy (and clean foods), but they don't really help develope the taste pallet. So we only gave her fruits, veggies, and meats. Now she is almost two and a half and she is an amazing eater. She is rarely picky. And when she is, I think she is really just being diagreeable...in which case she is excused from the table and doesn't get anything until the next meal. We almost always serve her what we are eating...which keeps us healthy too. Last night we all had big bowls of cabbage cooked with bacon. Yum!
These pictures were probably taken a year ago. And this wasn't my favorite LO to do. I think the poor quality of the pictures made me uninspired (darn camera phone). But I goit it done because what is childhood without pictures of spaghetti [Squash] all over your face?
