Wow, what a great idea - to take a photo with all the different costumes and your idea to use scraps from all the different layouts. Brilliant! That photo is so fun!
wow...dance really is expensive, hu? The classes, the costumes, the pictures, and I can't imagine your budget on hairspray! haha Seriously, it really does all add up. But it seems like you both enjoy it being a big part of your lives and you have so much wonderful material to scrap...one more expense...scrapping all those great pics! Yieks!
Great design to show off all the colors in the photo! Love the title cut too! Since your papers are all scraps you can enter this in the Scrap With Your Scraps challenge I host as well if you want!
Every year, the director of my dd's dance program has a group photo taken during the studio's picture day of the girls she's closest to wearing different costumes from that year's recital. It's no where near all of the costumes, but she likes to at least get a photo of the ones from all the dances she choreographed. If there are more girls than that, she tells them which of their other costumes she wants in the photo. Anyway, this was the first time Cassie was invited to participate in this picture, so of course, I bought it, in addition to the portraits and group photos from all nine of her own dances. Picture day is an expensive one for me. LOL
This is for the February Music Challenge - Lyric. The title is a song (and so also a lyric) by Allstar Weekend. It was the song that was used for the recital theme that year. (They always use a song with 'dance' in the title for the cover of the programs for the t-shirts and then play that song on endless loop before the show and during intermission.) I did the twist to have red on the LO - one of the strips of pp and 3 little butterflies.
I wasn't sure what to do with this photo since there are so many different colors and styles in it, so I decided to use something from all of the LO's I did for my dd's nine dances. Everything here is scrap or from open packages except the bg cs, and everything is from one of those nine LO's except the black flourish. which was something I cut for a different LO and then didn't use, and the glitter numbers for the year. On the left I listed the song titles/dances the costumes were for, along with the names of the girls and their year in school. Six of these costumes were for dances my dd was in - she's wearing her jazz costume.
