The small town of Brookfield VT was home to this floating bridge for nearly 200 years. Unfortunately it was torn down last year with a replacement due to be operational later this year.
The lo is for February's Travel Challenge with the twist of a place I love.
On a picture perfect summer day 20 + years ago I set out to finally see this quirky and ingenious example of Vermont history. I cannot think of a place I love more than the state I was raised in and where I lived for a significant portion of my life.
