This is my catch-all/collage page for November 2009. I usually do a page for each month with all the odds and ends that don't fit into any other lo's. For 2009, I'm also including each month's birthstone, flower, and astrological signs just for fun. My January through October LO's are in my gallery (2009 Album & Month LO's in 'albums'), where you can also see the themes I used/am using for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2013.
I chose the orangey-yellow base of this LO for the November birthstone - Citrine or Yellow Topaz. I stamped and heat embossed the border and the Prima calendar stamp, which is on vellum. The November flower is the Chrysanthemum. I made mine by layering about 16-20 Imaginisce fabric flowers in two sizes, holding them tight with a Karen Foster Citrine birthstone brad, and twisting/fluffing them so they would separate. The gems and brads are all Citrine colored. The scalloped circle names the book I read that month as part of my project to read the 100 Greatest Books Ever Written: David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. The waterfall is the front of a card that was sent to me that month. I used it to make a pocket for some of that month's memorabilia: ticket stubs from a play and a tag with some other info. The photos are of a berry on my burning bush, my two dogs outside, a white-breasted nuthatch, and my Yorkie wrapped up in a blanket on a chair. There is also a photo of my hair salon that I took for a Photo of the Day.
