My DGS, Jacob, with Lainie (a little girl that was my daughter's foster child for a while). I used some MME paper for the hexagons and the bottom of the layout. The doily is cut with a die and then I cut it in half to slip behind each side of the photo frame. The photo frame was white card stock inked with Hero Arts "pool" ink, then hand cut. I added white dashed lines around the edges. The title work was cut with the Silhouette. I used a font that actually puts the letters on the banner pieces...then all I needed to do was cut with the Cameo. The "Jacob" and the ampersand were all cut 3 times and layered for dimension. The hexagons were all cut from pattern paper then adhered to the striped paper. The butterflies are cut with a embosslit folder from SU. The words "love you, laugh, and smile" were die cuts that were cut multiple times and layered. To finish it off, I added tiny strips of the blue across the top of the stripes and then scattered a few sequins around the page. The butterflies also have a little bling for the bodies. Journaling is on the back of the layout and reads:

Traci, you were a foster mother to several different children over a period of 3-4 years. All of them were sweet kids, but the one that stole my heart was Lainie. There was just something about her sweet smile and the fact that she had no hesitation in coming to me and giving me hugs and kisses. Each one of the children you took care of (Riley, DJ, Emory, Channel, Chandler and Lainie - did I get them all?) were precious, but Lainie was just special to me!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
