Entered in the Vintage Cafe Card Challenge, a very inspiring Russian site. This month the theme is "Family Values." And the requirements are to use a photograph with more than one person in it, and scrap in the vintage, retro or shabby style.

As luck would have it, I needed to complete an introductory page for an album that is about my family on my Mom's side. And I had the photograph I needed ready and waiting. There are 30 people in this photo!!! All of the nine siblings and their spouses, the family Matriarch, my Grandmother, and 12 children. Since my Mom took the photo, and I wanted to include her with the rest of the family, I cut out a small picture of her and placed her on the far left of the large photo, so everyone is all together!

Because I needed to do a page that was relatively flat, as the book was already stuffed, I couldn't use any bulky flowers, embellishment or mediums. So I just layered up paper and drywall tape under and around the photo. I did use chipboard, the Today title and the clock surround under my Mom's photo, which is inked and crackled. And I did have an old lock surround that belonged to Mom, which I used on the lower right of the large photo. So, I ended up with this rather old fashioned, retro, vintage page, that works perfectly as an introductory page, and features the family.

Thank you to all who might look and leave a comment, it means the world to me!
