My mom loves to go to auctions. This Friday she called me and said "they had a 16' above ground pool. Do you want me to put in a bid for you?" At first I thought it was a good idea, but after about an hour I told her "no thanks." We live in a city with about a dozen splash pads all across town, the beach is 35 minutes away, and my in-laws have a pool. If I have a pool in my back yard I know I will not take advantage of all the beautiful ammenities around me. Including the biggest ammenity which is my family and friends. We make plans and dates to go to these places and get outside of our little world(s). I don't want to trick myself into staying at home...laundry, dishes, chores, yard waork and home improvement projects are at home. Sometimes you just have to step away from it all and enjoy the summer.

This is DH And DD in the pool together enjoying summer. Since I plan to do a lot outside (and especially in water) I didn't paln to take a lot of pictures this season. But we just had another amazing weekend and actually got some really great pictures. So I guess I need to stock up on my summer collections.

I have never used a card as inspiration for aLO before but I was really drawn to the large scale circles and the beige color BG with the matting. I am really glad I tried this because I have never worked with circles before and I am totally digging the effect...A super non-traditional nautical theme. Thanks Shelly!

BTW! The wooden title and the large chunky glitter (on the Anchor) are from M's. Fun right?
