I love the way you work so many photos into your layouts - and they never look cluttered, they always look perfect. The yellow in this really go nicely with all the green!
I really like how the lines in the field in the pics give the lo a sense of movement because they seem to point to the next pic. I really like your journaling and the fact that you took the pics of the signs.
Another awesome 2 pgr from you! I always struggle with 2 pgrs and I often look back onto your creations to get me started in the right direction! Love the grid with the camp shots and the camp ribbon is a great addition!! Love this!
The summer between 7th and 8th grade (2010), my dd attended a week long pom pon camp at her future high school. This LO features some school scenery and the performance at the end of the week. I'm really glad I took these photos of the school signs and the football field because in the four years she was there, I never took any others like them.
This is my example for my June Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Brown and Gold. The twist is to use fiber, thread, ribbon, or twine on the page. I have the award ribbon on the right with a twine hanger loop.
This is for 1) the June Sports Challenge - with the journaling twist. Journaling says: Cassie attended the Carmel Catholic HS Varsity Poms Summer Day Camp that was held June 21-25. The current Varsity squad taught the girls in three different age groups, 3rd-4th graders, 5th-6th graders, and 7th-8th graders, each a pom routine and a hip hop routine. Cassie's group's pom routine was to Taio Cruz's Break Your Heart and their hip hop was to Lose Control by Missy Elliott. The groups also learned all squad routines to I Want You Back by the Jackson 5 and the CCHS Fight Song. Monday through Thursday, they had a schedule of teaching sessions before and after lunch as well as time to play games and get to know each other. On Friday morning, the girls performed their routines on the football field for the parents. It was a long week, considering she still had all her regular dance classes in the evenings, but Cassie did a great job and had fun.
2) a VLB challenge to use the word "summer" on a LO.
3) the June Music Challenge - Song category with the twine twist. I used the word "Summer" from the title of this month's song, "Summer of '69."
The journaling is printed on vellum using the font Hammer Thin. I used tabs to point out the photos I used for the POD challenge back in June '10.
