This was one of the first cards I made and I'm glad I kept a picture of it. I was at my friend's house and she was introducing me to paper crafting, specifically card making. So I had some fun poking around her scraps and picked out the floral background and then the yellow that I used for some of the background and for the flower. Then I used that nice careen colored card stock for the card itself. Finally, I picked out the brad for the center off the flower and the ink color for edging. I wanted the flower to have some funky texture, so after we cut it out on her Pazzles Inspiration, I crumbled the flower pieces up in my hand and then straightened them out. Playing with the paper to give it a 3D effect, I curled the edges in different directions by hand, then assembled the flower, poked a hole in the middle and attached the brad. Next, I inked the edges of the petals and the yellow paper. Note to self: Lesson One - ink petals of flowers and let dry BEFORE assembling the flower! Otherwise, it's a pain! LOL
