Thank you Meggie's Nana! Yes, he's quite a kid, and we're very proud of him. I'm sure his girlfriend will be helping him too! LOL she's a keeper! Thank you, too for your wonderful and encuraging compliments as I get the hang of all the new techniques I'm learning on this site! Everyone is so very talented and kind and helpful!
So my son's high school graduation party was this past Saturday. Our friends and family were very generous. Christopher said he wanted me to make thank you cards, "so they'll be meaningful, Mom, but please leave the insides blank. I have a lot to write". So I used the colors of the University of Tampa ( red, white, and black), where he will be going in September. I painted some white paper with acrylic paint and cut it into one inch strips. It looked too boring, so I added clear embossing ink and powder and used my heating tool. Then I simply cut rectangular pieces of red paper to use as a border behind the black smaller rectangles I wanted to use for the thank you stamp. I inked white around the edges of the black rectangles to make them pop and stamped "Thank you very much" in white. I really like this particular stamp. Elegant, yet simple.
