Give a Cheer
In 2012, my dd was in 8 dances in her studio's recital. This is her portrait for Beginning Pointe. She's 15 here. The girls danced to Palladio performed by the electric string quartet, Escala.
I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots from the dress rehearsals. You can see my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery. All the professional dance portraits have been taken by Cass Photography.
This is my example for my August Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Teal. The twist is die cuts. I die cut the title with the Stone Script font on my Cricut, and I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die in my Cuttlebug to make some of the flowers.
This is for the August Music Challenge - Title. Palladio is a composition for string quartet composed by Karl Jenkins.
I used an old Swirlydoos sketch for this. This costume has very long pieces of tulle that wrap around the torso and tie at the back of the waist, and there was enough for me to cut off a small piece of each color, teal and black, which I used to make the 2 tulle flowers.
