You're right, for those of us who have been at this awhile, the cost dwindles with each layout we do. Trouble is, I will never live long enough to depreciate all the stuff I've collected, lol! This is a wonderful two-pager. I really like the stamped boy, and your title is spot on. Well done.
These are beautiful. I love your little paper doll boy. I love the way the two pages fit together so beautifully. I would love to see it once the photos are added. I've always been afraid to try this technique. Yours are wonderful.
Awesome layout! I can't imagine making a page without the photos to work with - you did a great job with that! That title is beautiful and you really did keep the price down! I need to consider cost a little more when I do paper/trimmer layouts - I tend to get very careless and not consider what I spend on a layout and I need to think about this more. I know I can do better and not spend so much. You have inspired me!
love the colors & the stamp, cuts... wonderful LO - I too do not usually make LOs without the photos in hand already.... kinda scary but this came out wonderful
Ugh.....melt!!!! I love this!! The colors are so soft and dreamy, the little boy is adorable and that font/title is fantastic! You did an awesome job on this and now I may need to look at new carts:(
This is a first for me, first time I have made a whole page without the pictures being printed. This will be the first time I have had my pictures printed with a specific size in mind, usually I cut (photos) to fit when designing a page. This is the first time I have used products that I have purchased in the last two days with the newest Cricut cartridge I received. The cost of this two page layout is about $2 maybe less... how do I figure that, well the paper comes out to 8 cents a sheet, I used three. The embellishments (paper) are from scraps where their monetary value was used in other layouts/cards. The ink decreases in cost every-time I use them and I use them frequently. The Hodge Podge hardware has several hundred pieces in each box (too long ago to remember, just trying to use them up) so at most they cost me 20 cents each, Just taking a wild guess there... The twine is a 400 yard roll and I used 1 foot... 8 cents. Now the stamp, well that stamp was $7 and I have only used it once but it will never be "used up" and with three grand sons and one GGS I have lots of plans for that stamp and I could probably sell it for $2 - $3 down the road.... The Cricut to cut the dies cost me only $29 as the the rest I got back in free images. I have been using it for for three years which makes it pennies a day!!!
I could rationalize on and on and in reality this does not have to be an expensive craft. I have been building my supplies for 20 years and plan on using them for 20 more!
