Wonderful lo Sharon! My in-laws are moving in with us in 3 weeks (both in their 90's and mil has dementia) and I may come back to you when I'm ready to scream!!
What a sweet pic of Karen and you, and a cute page. I like the idea of the hidden journal too. (I know how difficult it is when caring for your mom with dementia, hugs for you. Remember to take care of yourself too Sharon.)
I love this lo and the sentiment behind it! I will hold you up in prayer too because I've been through 2 parents and a sister with dementia. As hard as it was, I am so thankful because of all the blessings that came out of it. Be encouraged that God will get you through and give you the strength you need for each situation. :o)
Amazing design, wonderful special touches, great white space, love the red rick rack, love it all!! (thinking of you caring for your Mom, I know just how difficult and confusing it can be caring for a loved one with dementia, and you do need to take care of yourself too, at the same time, good luck my friend.
It's WONDERFUL Sharon!!! Those colors are exciting and play off each other so effectively.
Your use of 'white space' is confident and unique; truly beautiful~ (no wonder you have a special place in your heart for me! ~karen ; ) LOL
Such a cute and sweet page - I feel for you, caring for an aging parent, especially one with dementia. Been there, done that... no fun. Jerry and I have cared for both of my parents and his. His dad had Alzheimer's and it was a very trying few years with him. All of them are gone now, except for my MIL and she's starting to show small signs of dementia. Luckily all of our parents have lived next door to us and that really helps out. I will definitely be thinking of you and lifting prayers your way over the days ahead. Hugs, Betty
Good Morning everyone. Today I would like to share a layout I made for Challenge YOUrself - the challenge blog that asks you to scrap a photo with YOU in it! This month's challenge is a sketch and "note to self" challenge. I picked a recent photo taken of Karen and me and scrapped about being twins. I have hidden journaling that talks about what life was like growing up a twin. I recently took a leave of absence from nursing and have been taking care of my mother in her home. She has some dementia and it hasn't always been easy. So I decided to make this layout to keep my spirits up - TWINS ROCK!
