Give a Cheer
For my 59th birthday my kids surprised me with a "Wizard of Oz" themed celebration. They know I love that movie!
When I arrived home I saw the door decorations my daughter had made. I read the card and put on the red slippers she bought for me to wear during the party. Then I opened the door...and I found the Yellow Brick Road made by my son. I followed it and then... I saw the door of the castle. Midway I found a couple of things... My kids had also bought Dorothy's dress for me, and a basket with Toto.
When I arrived to the door of the castle I saw Glinda!!! She was standing by a Rainbow.
Then I met the 'Tin Man' (my daughter), 'The Scarecrow' (my youngest son), 'The Cowardly Lion' and 'The Wicked Witch' (my middle son and his then girlfriend. As they live in another country, they posed for a photo and then my daughter made the characters and printed them).
Then it was time to play a game my kids created.
The rules can be read in the cards on a previous lo.
When entering "the Castle" (my daughter's bedroom), I found the presents.
Then it was "cake time"!
Finally we had dinner and enjoyed a wonderful evening together.
