In 2012, my dd was in 8 dances in her studio's recital. This is her portrait for Advanced/Intermediate Modern. She's 15 here. The girls danced to Made For You by One Republic.

I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots from the dress rehearsals. You can see my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery. All the professional dance portraits have been taken by Cass Photography.

This is my example for my September Four Categories Challenge - Category Three ~ Technique: Texture. I used glitter cs for the background, puffy flourish stickers, a strand of sequins, loose sequins, glitter number stickers, and loose glitter to make the heart in the bottom right, which fulfills the twist of at least 3.

This is for the September Music Challenge - Title. The twist is to use a favorite song, and Made For You is my FAVORITE One Republic song.

Also for a VLB challenge to use texture.

I used an old 52 Sketches sketch for this. This costume is black velvet with tiny red sequins on it, and I was able to pull a few sequins off the bottom edges to glue under the title. I used a template to stencil the splotch/heart pattern on the red cs in the center, and then I used the template to re-trace the large heart in the lower right with glue and applied loose red glitter. I cut the title and largest heart with my Cricut. IRL the glitter heart is more clear and doesn't look so messy, and also, the reds of the whole LO are much deeper and match the costume better. They photographed really bright.
