You used one of my favorite punches on this one but you stepped it up with the sequins. I might have to lift that idea from you. You got 22 photos on this double. That has to be a record! Well done.
In 2012, my dd was in 8 dances in her studio's recital. These are the formal group portrait and the dress rehearsal photos for Advanced/Intermediate Modern. She's 15 here. The girls danced to Made For You by One Republic.
I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots from the dress rehearsals. (I'm part of the stage crew for the shows, so I can only get photos at rehearsal - hence the casual state of the girls' hair and makeup, occasional lack of full costume and smiles, and sometimes, poor lighting. These aren't performance photos.) I decided back when she first started having multiple dances in the shows not to try and reinvent the wheel each time, so they all have this format - group shot on the left and action shots arranged across the rest of the 2 pages with pp and embellies that match the single portrait LO. When I have them, I like to include photos of the girls interacting with their instructor and/or each other in the theater during the rehearsal along with photos of the actual dance. There are 22 photos on this LO. You can see the single portrait LO for this dance as well as my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery. The group portrait was taken by Cass Photography.
I used a template to stencil the splotch/heart pattern on the red cs, and then I used glue and loose glitter on a heart on the top left and the dash pattern down the right side. I edged all the candid photos with a black Sharpie for a sharp edge without matting. I cut the title and large heart with my Cricut. Around and in the large heart, I wrote the class level, day & time of the class, the names of the girls in the dance (including one that missed the formal photo), the instructor's name and her dedication from the program: "Everyone, feel the love all around you like it was made for you." IRL the reds of the whole LO are much deeper and match the costume better. They photographed really bright. Also, the border of sequins and red glitter cs down the left are straight - I had to take the picture at an angle to keep glare off the photos so it cropped looking crooked.
This is for the September Music Challenge - Lyric. The title is, of course, a lyric in the song, but also, the dedication quote that I included with the journaling is a paraphrase of the chorus of the song, "Can you feel all the love like it was made for you?" I used liquid ink spray for the ink twist.
Also for a VLB Challenge to use ink.
