Give a Cheer
The whole story: The whole family came over for DD's birthday. It was a small/caual affair...as it should be for a 3 year old. We visited, played, opened presents, and had ice cream with min I cupcakes on top (though they look huge in these photos). But when it was time to blow out the candles and make a wish I couldn't find my camera anywhere!!! Agh!!! So I totally missed it...way to go mom! Sheesh...what kind of mom (and Scrapper) am I?!? So the next day as we were enjoying a quiet Sunday together she asked Daddy if she could have ice cream again and I got a good idea! "Ok, but only if you put your dress back on and let mommy take a picture." Obviously she was a willing participant. And I finally got the picture and no one will be the wiser...right?
After I finished this LO I showed it to DD...she always likes to study my completed projects. (My heart swells when she appreciates my LOs.) She took one look at it and said "oh Mommy! So pretty....but that wasn't my birthday." Foiled by a 3 year old! haha!!
Ps. I got that blue "wallpaper" BG paper from SB.com as a prize for winning one of last months challenges! It works so perfect here. I wasn't sure what colors to use w/out looking too Red, White, & Blue. So the yellow was a great touch...plus the stripes mimic her dress perfectly. I love it when a good (non)plan comes together!
For the adhesive Challenge I used Glue sticks, glue dots, and foam squares.
